We nip problems in the bud when it comes to our employee and employer relations. We truly value our human resources. We really take seriously the “human” in human resources. I know what it is like to work for companies that have little regard for anything about their employees. I have even managed at companies where they promote an us and them culture between management and the regular rank and file employees. That is no way to do business. We contact the HMRC employer helpline at any time there is an issue we think needs attention in our company when it comes to employee and employer relations.
We strive to be more than compliant with all legal aspects of how we interact with our employees. We go very far beyond the bare minimums. I guess that is why we have a steady stream of applications from potential employees seeking a position with us. We have young people in school making sure they adjust their education to satisfy our employment requirements. We do not have to employ headhunters seeking the cream of the crop. They already come looking for us. That is quite a mark on the positive aspects of how we treat the people who work for us.
Big companies do not have to operate on such slim margins that they have to worry about employee turnover and what it costs to recruit someone new. Our employee recruitment and training costs have actually gone down because of how much we foster a retention environment within our company. We do not lose people at the rate other companies are leaking their talent. We are not one of those companies that people go to in order to get some experience and leave. We are the company they go to when they want a career that will last. Doing it the right way with your employees makes all the difference.
