I have been doing some research about billionaires and their habits of giving to charity. I am trying to compare them all and figure out which ones give the most and the least. I wonder what could compel a billionaire to donate much less to charity than all of his peers.

I guess there could be a lot of reasons why this would happen, but I am not sure why someone would really decide that they can’t at least contribute enough to not make themselves stand out. It seems like it would be in their own interests, and they can use it as a tax ride off in any case. Anyway, I guess I shouldn’t make too many bold claims without actually knowing these people, or how they think. But that is the impression that i get when considering the situation, and I don’t think there is much of a better explanation. At least, I can’t really think of one. That is something that also interests me, but not as much as why someone who has everything, would give back relatively little. Although, some people just seem to be greedy, and it might be against their nature to give back. I guess that could be the case, but I probably will never know for sure what motivates people to do the things they do. But it won’t stop me from continuing to speculate about such matters.
